UNIQUE/LIGHT: Bringing an exhibition to life
We recently had the pleasure of working on UNIQUE/LIGHT, an exhibition by students of The City Of Liverpool College‘s degree-level photography courses. We supplied lighting, sound, and design consultation to deliver this event.

The exhibition took place at The Tapestry – a great new event space in Liverpool’s fast growing Fabric District – and was showing a selection of photographic works by students of the HNC and HND Photography programmes at the college. A broad range of themes and concepts were covered and the display was organised in to digital and film-based sections across a main space and two small breakout rooms.
To bring this event to life, we created a relaxed and mellow ambience by deploying our low profile LED uplighters to highlight architectural features of the venue and designing a custom rigging solution to create a wall of floating LEDs as a centerpiece to the room.
Carefully focussed spot lighting highlighted the displayed work, with tone and intensity of the lighting balanced to complement each set of photographs.
A discreet sound system, carefully deployed for maximum coverage with minimum footprint, relayed a bespoke playlist, designed and curated with the client, to complement the atmosphere on the night.
Our design team collaborated with the client to develop branding concepts and digital promotional content for the event, which was widely distributed across their social media channels.
